Burton / Anon

Every vent. Every weave. Every buckle.

Burton / Anon — four-panel render study of a black Anon snow helmet: full helmet, liner mesh, strap buckle, and logo detail | ANCORD Design Co

The Opportunity

Burton needed their full Anon snow helmet lineup brought to life digitally — over a dozen models across adult and youth lines, each requiring multiple colorways. The renders would replace traditional product photography on Burton's website and across their seasonal marketing, streamlining how the team rolled out new colourways and additions to the lineup.

The brief was clear: these renders had to be indistinguishable from a photograph. Goggle clips, liner mesh, earpad weave patterns, metallic badge finishes, vent geometry, fleece textures — everything had to match what was sitting on our bench, because these images were going in front of consumers.

The Solution

Production CAD is built for manufacturing, not rendering — the geometry serves a completely different purpose. We rebuilt and refined every model for visualization, closing surfaces, resolving import artifacts, and preparing geometry that would hold up at any zoom level on a product page.

Each helmet was delivered as a fully layered file system — shells, badges, logos, liners, and hardware all independently selectable, with dedicated shadow and highlight layers for each element to create photorealistic depth and realism. Burton's team could generate every seasonal colorway from a single master file without re-rendering or re-shooting, replacing the traditional photography pipeline entirely.

The goggle lineup was a natural progression, rolling out the same process across Anon's full goggle range. Our team built custom textures for every strap design in the collection — a huge volume of graphics processing that extended the same level of fidelity we'd established on helmets across straps, lenses, MFI integration, and earpad detailing.
